Cloud Security Engineer
As a Cloud Security Engineer, you need to take care of the following responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Understand current and research new and upcoming cloud technologies with respect to security
Analyze current systems’ security stance, propose solutions to any existing deficiencies
Work with cloud engineers to validate the security stance of new solutions
Work in a cross-functional DevOps team as the security expert
Assist with monitoring of security logs including IDS/IPS, web application firewalls etc.
Create and implement ongoing security review plans for cloud solutions
Manage the use of 3rd party vulnerability tools for continuous assessment of HRsoft applications
Continuously monitor networking configuration ensuring minimal attack surface
Work with database and cloud engineering teams in disaster recovery testing
Manage mock intrusion scenarios and create action plan documentation
Monitor vulnerability mailing list/databases and alert application teams
Assist with security audits, interface with customers/partners on security reviews.
